Unavailable Until Further Notice

Dear friends and readers,

Due to the sudden passing of the person I owe much of my recent happiness to, this blog is unavailable until further notice.

We are all shocked and saddened by the loss of such a wonderful man. He will be greatly missed.

Christina.

  1. Christina, he was very glad to have helped and happy for you. I'm sure he'd be pleased about your progress towards a career in perioperative nursing.

He is most profoundly missed and will be remembered.

  2. Hey Christina,
I previously saw the same surgeon who performed your surgery, it was infact him who recommended me to read your blog as a way to settle my nerves.
I have a situation similar to yours, however my jaw has an open bite. I had barely even started, only a few consultations as I was too young. I was terrified of all these being thrown around, but he was an amazing man who encouraged me to be excited for my journey.
The day I got the phonecall of his passing was one of the most earth shattering moments of my life.
Only now have I finally decided to take the scary steps to begin all over again. I am honestly terrified of everything I am being told, so I decided to once more seek out your blog that helped me so long ago.
You obviously have your own reasons as to why you have not made it available again. However I want you to know that long ago your words helped me more than I can express. And I hope that one day soon you will decide to publish it again, because if he recommended it to me then I'm sure he recommended it to many more. And I'm sure that there are those out there who your words have helped, and possibly more to be helped.
    xx

    1. Hello there,

Thank you for your touching words. I was only thinking about him a few hours ago today - I'm in the process of applying for graduate nursing positions, and I wish I could tell him I began and completed nursing studies because of him. Even though I didn't know him as well as many others, his death was truly one of the worst days, weeks and months of my life.

I've been considering republishing the content.. I put it off for a long time because of the questions about his passing that came in, and then out of respect for his family and friends in case it served as a painful reminder. I'm not sure - I panicked and I find it difficult to revisit. I haven't made my mind up yet, but if you do have any questions or concerns, I'm here anyway :)

      Christina xx
